Information for Applicants:
Scholarship: This educational scholarship has been established in loving memory of Brother Jayceryll “Jacy” de Chavez of the Rutgers University Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. The scholarship has been instituted to aid a fellow brother in his/her education and professionalism in the business world.
Qualifications: Jacy double majored in finance and economics, but dreamed of becoming an investment banker in the World Trade Center. Therefore, to be eligible for this scholarship applicants must, at a minimum, have an interest in finance, investment banking, or major in either finance or economics. Applicants must be full time Rutgers University students and Alpha Kappa Psi brothers in good standing as defined by the bylaws of the chapter.
General Information: Please provide accurate contact information, as this is the means as to which you will be contacted if awarded the scholarship. This is a one-semester scholarship. Past recipients are eligible to apply in the future.
Award: The amount of the award will be 5% of the total value of the scholarship fund. The recipient will receive the scholarship check made payable to the recipient and Rutgers University to be applied directly to the Spring Tuition. The recipient of the education scholarship will be announced at the Success Institute in February, announced in the spring issue of The Alpha Kappa Psi Diary, and at the Omicron Tau Annual Banquet.
The scholarship committee reserves the right to not award the scholarship should the aforementioned requirements not be fulfilled.
